As a mum, I know that a mother’s guilt is probably at its worst at mealtimes.
Mealtimes can be hard work.
You want your child to eat healthy foods, but then again you need mealtimes to go smoothly, and at the end of the day, a child with a full belly means a happy household.
The thing is, food is a huge factor in your child’s health. Huge.
Has your child ever suffered from poor immunity (perhaps persistent ear infections, tonsillitis, impetigo, colds and coughs)?
How about reflux, allergies or food intolerances?
What about constipation, diarrhoea, sleep issues, asthma or eczema?
In older children, you might see issues like behavioural and learning problems, hyperactivity or aggression.
You might have heard the expression, food is medicine. It makes sense. We all believe that a tiny tablet can influence our health, so just think about the power of that kilogram of food we each eat every day!
I understand that trying to figure out the right nutrition for your child isn’t easy.
There are so many people telling us what to eat, particular ‘diets’ come and go, but often these are just people sharing opinions about what’s worked for them.
We’re all different. What works for one person, won’t work for the next.
Your child’s food intolerances, genetics, metabolism, gut health and lifestyle all need to be considered when designing a healthy and nutritious diet.
That’s exactly what I do.
My name is Lisa Moane, I’m a Holistic Nutritionist and Food Scientist, and it’s my life’s work to help your child thrive by eating the right foods.
The perfect diet sounds like hard work, right? And probably expensive.
I have good news for you. You can make far better food for your child, than any company or factory.
The food you make will be less processed, more nutritious and (yes!) cheaper.
I promise, it’s not difficult. I have three young children and I understand what it’s like to balance work, family and other commitments. When I work with families, I make sure the advice I give is practical and can fit into the weekly routine.
I will work personally with you and your child (in my studio in Bulli, north of Wollongong, or on Skype), to develop a nutritional plan to support your child to thrive.
